Tracey Rompain

CFP®, EPC
Financial Planner

As a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, I strive to make a positive difference in the lives of others by helping them plan for financial success and future prosperity.

I started in the financial services industry in 1996, working with a local advisor as his administrator and eventually, his Branch Manager. Through this experience I learned that I enjoy planning and working with people and it became clear to me that I had found my passion. Shortly thereafter, I became insurance and mutual fund licensed and continue to take courses to expand my knowledge of our ever-changing industry.

I will provide you and your family with the information you need to make the best financial decisions to reach your personal financial goals. I am here to help you develop all aspects of your planning needs: buying your first home, education funds for your children, retirement income planning, lifestyle protection or developing a comprehensive estate plan. I can assist you in each area by conducting detailed meetings with open communication which allows me to understand your goals and develop a Personalized Wealth Management Strategy.

Credentials

I am a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, so you can be sure I provide expert and professional financial planning services. To earn this designation, I had to complete an approved educational program, pass a rigorous examination and meet stringent experience requirements. I also adhere to a professional Code of Ethics and fulfill annual continuing education requirements to remain aware of current planning strategies and financial trends.

As an Elder Planner Counsellor, I have also been trained in the specific needs, wants and issues concerning today’s elder demographic. I have been taught to address the many aspects of aging that can impact your financial and social circumstances. Knowing the issues and alternatives unique to senior life is an important part of the bigger picture. Recently I have also completed the Certified Executor Advisor (CEA) and have found it helpful in helping with estate planning and helping clients who are executors.

Personal Information

As a born and raised Victoria girl, I thoroughly enjoy calling Vancouver Island my home and currently reside in Colwood with my husband. Our eldest has finished her Business degree at UVIC and our youngest is currently attending VIU with a focus on psychology and education.

I believe it’s important to support the continued success of my community. I particularly enjoyed volunteering at my daughters’ schools right through until graduation. I have held various positions on the Parent’s Advisory Council and sport boards. Volunteered in all aspects of being a softball, rowing and volleyball Mom. At each level with each of our girls as a team we were able to adopt a “family in need” to help to teach the girls about charity and giving back. We have continued to do this through a local woman’s transition house. In my spare time I enjoy cooking, gardening, quilting, fishing and the occasional camping getaway with friends.

My family and I practice sound financial planning and feel that it benefits our overall well being and sense of security. I will be happy to share my experience with you.

Supporting the communities within which we work

At IPC, we built IPC Cares to bring together the various efforts we make towards enhancing the communities within which we operate. By adopting causes that are close to our hearts, we keep ourselves committed and accountable.

Last year alone, as a company, we supported the aid efforts on the Fort McMurray fires, palliative care through The Healing Cycle Foundation and women and children through The Salvation Army.

Perhaps the most significant effort we undertake, and one that we believe is representative of the kind of work that inspires and keeps us committed to our CSR efforts, is the community development project in Honduras with The Carpenteros & Friends. Last year’s project involved a group of IPC staff and Advisors volunteering their time and energy on the ground. Very little is as inspiring and rewarding as living the lives of the people you’re helping, and every one of the people who took the journey came back a changed person, even more determined to stay committed to making a difference in the world!

We also made countless small but significant contributions of our time and resources within our communities through many grassroots charities we believe in, and the ripple effect of their efforts are always rewarding.
